Improve Your English Vocabulary: Read Books!

Read and Reap!

Non-native and native English language speakers who wish to increase their vocabulary should consider doing more reading and watching more movies.  Although fiction and classic literature don’t contain business-type writing, this type of literature does offer descriptive wording that builds vocabulary.  Reading books stimulates both sides of the brain, and improves concentration, attention, and memory, while expanding knowledge base and making more words readily available in conversation. Another way to expand on this idea is to join a book club or movie club that has discussions about the book or movie.  This provides even more practice listening and participating in conversation using  the new vocabulary.

Additionally, by increasing reading time, leadership potential expands significantly because it enables the learning of new ideas.  You will reap many benefits both personally and professionally.  Take time to read and watch more movies! Now, that’s a fun assignment!

The last 'typed' sentence is missing the article 'a'. (a nod is as good as a wink! Smiles)
